Overview

The Grimsel Pass peaks at nearly 2200m and connects the Bernese Oberland to Valais. The often different pressure conditions between the two areas frequently create wind balance.
The pass is oriented from north to south.
As the Grimsel is one of the snowiest regions in Switzerland, it's not uncommon to find 3 to 4 m of snow.
