In the middle of the Thau lagoon, the Pont Levis is a spot that you have to earn. Indeed, to access it you need to walk along the 800m long dike to reach the Tuck where you can inflate and launch your kites. Choose the right kite because believe me, you won't make the round trip 3 times. It's forbidden to inflate and launch your kite on the beach near the parking area which is reserved for windsurfing. But once there, it's 11km of pure joy. Flat water due to offshore wind relative to the dike, you can touch the bottom everywhere and the wind is more stable than on the neighboring Tramontane spots.
If you have questions about the spot, you can ask the orange lycras who are part of the TKC7 association (Thau Kite Club) and who take care of the spot. Watch out for stinging anemones and sea urchins (which are becoming increasingly rare as water temperature rises). I highly recommend wetsuits or long lycras and booties at least for walking to the spot and even keep them on if there's a chance you'll have to walk in. For lessons on site, there's the Kite Premium school with Xavier as a great instructor. For rentals and repairs, there's Magic Bruce just across from the spot. Be careful not to leave your keys near the wheels or in a key padlock as there have already been car thefts in summer 2020.
