Osoyoos sits on Osoyoos Lake, Canada's warmest lake, at the extreme southern end of the Okanagan Valley near the US border. The area is semi-desert with summer temperatures among the highest in the country. The N-S oriented lake channels thermal winds. Resort town atmosphere with vineyards and orchards all around.
Warm fresh water (up to 24°C in summer — warmest in Canada). Flat to choppy water. Sandy bottom. The lake is relatively narrow (1-2 km), limiting fetch. Riding possible on both sides. Ideal learning conditions thanks to warm water.
