Overview

Île Lamèque / Pointe Canot is a spot on Lamèque Island in New Brunswick's Acadian Peninsula, facing the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Lamèque Island, connected to the mainland by a bridge, is a low, flat island swept by gulf winds. Pointe Canot offers exceptional exposure to prevailing winds with considerable fetch on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The region is the heart of Acadia, with its vibrant Francophone culture and fishing industry. Lamèque Baroque Music Festival in summer.
