Pelzerhaken is a calm and uncrowded spot in Lübeck Bay, halfway between Neustadt in Holstein and Travemünde. Typical Baltic flat water, wide standing area, sandy bottom — excellent for progressing and freeriding in a peaceful setting. No crowds, no competitions — a spot for locals and regulars. Basic infrastructure: accessible beach, parking. Complementary to Grossenbrode and Fehmarn for W/SW winds. Possible starting point for a downwind along the coast towards Grömitz and Dahme.
Several active kite schools in the Pelzerhaken/Neustadt area. Inquire locally.

W/SW/NW: best directions, free wind from Lübeck Bay. N/NNW: functional, slightly onshore. NE/E: offshore (Lübeck/Holstein land behind) — unusable and dangerous. S/SSW: sideshore possible depending on local configuration. Baltic = no significant tides.
Lübeck Bay: few major dangers, but watch for ferries and pleasure boats especially from/to Travemünde and Lübeck. NE/E wind: offshore in Lübeck Bay — to be avoided. Pebble beach possible depending on shore condition — check equipment. No significant tides in the Baltic but wind creates local current.
