Overview

Mtwapa Creek is a sheltered kitesurfing spot located in the Mtwapa estuary, north of Mombasa. This creek offers exceptional flat water conditions, protected from ocean wind and waves. It is an ideal spot for beginners and learning to kitesurf. The southeast wind enters the creek and provides consistent conditions during the Kusi season (June to October). The water is shallow and the tide strongly influences the available water level.
